BioChirp is a community-driven project that enables conversational access to popular biomedical databases.
BioChirp supports critical biological fields and provides researchers with a seamless interface for data retrieval and analysis.
Integrated Biomedical Data
The system combines multiple datasets, such as Drug-Target, Drug-Disease, and Target-Disease relationships, into a single unified platform. This integration allows users to gain comprehensive insights by seamlessly mapping drugs, targets, and diseases.
Intelligent Query Mapping
The platform accurately matches user queries to relevant database fields using advanced language models. It supports queries related to drug names, disease names, target names, gene names, pathways, biomarkers, mechanism of action, and approval status.
Precision and Semantic Search
The system handles exact matches and finds semantic equivalents for biological terms, such as mapping "TB" to "Tuberculosis." This capability reduces errors and enhances the relevance of search results.
Efficient Data Retrieval
The platform retrieves only the rows from the database that match the user's query intent. Users can also download the filtered data as CSV files for further analysis.
Contextual Insights
The system generates concise and observation-based summaries for query results using GPT-4o-mini. These summaries provide clarity and save time for users analyzing complex datasets.
